Jenneth Ntsanwisi had a burning desire of being a hairdressing salon owner, which led to her enrolling with Parktown College in 1993 to pursue her vision. Jenneth worked at the salon in Waverley for seven years and after that she was recruited to work in one of the upmarket salons in Illovo until she decided to start her own business. Jenneth then registered a business established with the then CIPRO and set-up her own practice in Houghton in August 2007. Jenneth’s Hair and Beauty Studio was formed and she started operating that same year on a very limited scale as a two chaired salon in Houghton. At the beginning, she operated side-by-side with her friend who had just started her own business also. The business was just herself and her assistant with a pool of loyal and supportive clients. The business witnessed very fast growth that saw her moving from a one small room facility to a little bigger one in the Protea Hotel, Wanderers. The growth led her to expand to a building where she got a much bigger space. The business currently has three qualified and experienced hairdressers, an apprentice, two operators and a receptionist.
